Hello

 

So I'm new to Maya and MEL but as far as I am able to read the documentation on the topic there is supposed to be an integration of MEL and AppleScript for Maya2020 as described over here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2020/ENU/Maya-Scr...

The problem is that it doesn't seems to be that case at all if I try - Maya doesn't seem to have any custom scripting commands that AppleScript can access and AppleScript doesn't have any command called execute like the article makes you think.

Does anyone know how to get AppleScript and MEL talking to each other or is there something I missed with that documentation?

Maybe I should have asked the question more openly: Does this work for anyone? If so can you give me closer information about your version etc?
