I would like to know if there is any documentation available regarding Python functions for Maya USD. I am currently experimenting with some fundamental tasks in USD, and I'm seeking a way to automate certain actions, such as creating layers and sublayers, assigning names, and saving them in the appropriate directory.
For instance, I've come across the function "mayaUsdCreateStageWithNewLayer()," but I'm having trouble finding detailed information on the capabilities of this code.
I can't find any documentation on the Autodesk website. I suppose it's still in development? Is there another way to learn more about Maya USD functions? Thank you.
The USD C++ API has Python bindings, but this is not really documented, which can be challenging. In that regard, I've found the USD Survival Guide to be a great resource for this. It has tons of examples in Python.
