Problems with sourcing MEL script

Every time I try to source a MEL script file into the script editor I'm given a warning which reads as: Warning: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2018/scripts/startup/scriptEditorPanel.mel line 636: The -keyEquivalent/-ke flag has been removed. Keys can be set using the Hotkey Editor. //

At first I thought it was location issue. Even after moving most of the files that were placed elsewhere to that specific folder, they still cannot be sourced. I'm not sure what to do.

Any advice would be great.

It's just a warning talking about one of Maya's own scripts which is using a deprecated flag. You can ignore it.

I'm running Maya 2018 Update 3 and don't get that warning, nor do I see the deprecated flag being used in that script, so it may be something that they've fixed. If you're running an earlier version of Maya 2018 try upgrading to the latest and see if that fixes the problem.
