Need help on locating the saved project files on the desktop

A few questions: 

How do I find  my saved project files on my desktop so I can upload the files into google drive folder for college class?

once the playblast is working and how do I locate it on my desktop ?

Hi!

If this is just about finding the files/playblast, when you save your file or when a playblast is finished, the path to the resulting file gets printed to your script editor (Windows -> General Editors -> Script Editor). It should look something like this:

// Result: Disk:/User/Folder/Subfolder/File_Name // 

Just look for this location on your drive or copy everything between "// Result:" and "//" and paste it into the search function of your operating system.

You can change the location where your files get saved by setting your project location (File -> Set Project) and the location/name of your playblasts by using the playblast option box (little square next to where you start your playblast) and using the "Browse" button at the bottom.

I'm not quite sure why you posted this in the programming section, this seems more like a Question for Animation and Rigging. So just to be sure I have to ask, am I missing part of the question here?

Do you have a script that playblasts for you or do want to automate the upload using a script?

Well, I'm not quite sure how I can make my answer anymore clear, it's 4 simple steps:

1) save your file

2) open your scripteditor (Windows -> General Editors -> Script Editor)

3) take the last printed result, which is the place on your computer where the file was saved

4) put that result into the search bar of your Operating system (Windows Search Bar on Windows, Spotlight on MacOS, ALT+F2 on Ubuntu)

Same thing for Playblasts, except for step 1) which in that case is "make a playblast"

If that doesn't help you, I really don't know what you need. And to be frank here, your question was way more confusing than my answer...

Ok, so then please explain to me, what EXACLTY do you need from me?

Because from your question it seems like you managed to lose your files on your own desktop, curious how that happend tbh, and you are now asking strangers on the internet to find the for you remotely. Or did I missunderstand you there?

In my first answer I explained to you how you easily can find a file you are working on on your harddisk, no matter where you saved it, and if you did not reset your project location chances are pretty big that you will find all your other maya files in the exact same location.
I also explained to you how you can change your save location to a place where you will find your files in the future...

And honestly please, if you don't have any CONSTRUCTIVE critique on how I might help you with your problem/explain to you how to solve your problem. Or any further explanation about your problem. Don't bother answering anymore. Your post gives insufficient information on your problem and you obviously can't be bothered with giving any more since you didn't answer any of my questions in my previous responses.

If you don't manage to find your files with the information I gave you, I would suggest you start over with your project and use the "save file as..." option to save your files this time (File->Save File As..., Shorcut: SHIFT + CTRL + S) and write down the exact folder you save in and the name you are giving your file on a piece of paper, so you don't lose the files again.
