Weird Topology on mesh

After I make a few adjustments my model goes crazy. Is there a reason for this?

Hi,

You didn't give us very many details to work with...
Maya version, OS, what you are modifying would be good for starters. 😉

What happens if you turn off smooth mesh preview?

I apologize, I thought this was a an easily identifiable issue. The version I am using is 2018  and it's running on Windows. Here is a picture with the smooth mesh preview on of the Polaroid model I am working on. I am a new to modeling so I may have made some mistakes with the topology which may be why the mesh was acting up.

Hi,

If you repeat your modeling operation with smooth mesh preview OFF does the mesh still mess up?

Trying to figure out if the issue is with the mesh or a graphics card (display) issue?

The topology looks fine in your screenshots but you can always run Mesh Cleanup with Select Matching Polygons enabled to detect topology issues:

To help further I would need the exact steps you were doing? e.g. I was extruding these polys and modifying the offset parameter...

Thanks.
