Isnt the face exactly under the rest of it? Try to drag the selection.

I uninstalled Maya and re-installed it. It worked fine in 2019 version, 2019.1 update broke it. Here's the mb file. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1l4a5smlqqkFFIKA3UwduVrHeKehd9UKB

Hi!

The area of these face UVs is far too small ("0").

Change selection to UVs and expand it manual by selecting and moving the 4 individual UVs of the face,

or select the face and use any of the automatic UV Mapping creation tools.

Thank you @mspeer , I can select it but when I scale the UV it doesn't
change size. What UV Mapping tool do you refer to?

Also, this happened UVing with Maya, I am finding this with other models
too, why are the UVs being set to zerish size? It'll be too painful in all
models be resizing UVs.

Thank you, Sergio

Hi!

Scaling is a multiplier.

You can't get "0" to become a bigger value by multiplying.

Select the individual UVs and move them with the Move Tool.

"why are the UVs being set to zerish size?"

Not sure what you did exactly, but maybe using a flat projection perpendicular to a face orientation has been used.

If you say this happens with Maya tools too, please provide the steps that leads to this.

Hi again, I can move it but what tool can I use to make it bigger as you
suggested?

Bad syntax used on my side - it happens using Maya but not directly using
Maya's tools, I didn't try that.

Thanks ! Sergio

Hi!

Sorry, i don't understand the problem:

A) Manualuvexpand.gif

or

B) Select the face and choose any default UV Mapping.

Thank you yes, this works. It also works when I use Mayas tools. The problem occurs with Malcolm341s tool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8eXqyk3gBs&t=51s

I did the clean install and the problem continued to persist. I think we can close this ticket, I'll raise it with Malcolm

thanks a bunch for your help, Sergio

Sorry for the late reply. I just downloaded your file and gave it a try, everything works fine, you just need to cut more edges of the cube for it to unwrap correctly. Right now the bottom edges are sewed onto each other so it can't unwrap. Select all the edges and press x to cut them all, then click the unwrap button and you should get six square UV shells, if you get something else let me know, but I'm able unwrap the cube here with no problems. I'm using Maya 2019.2
