Object disappear on both Union boolean and Combine

I'm trying to make a single mesh from these three primatives. This will be used to make a belt clip for a knife. When I try a union boolean, all the objects disappear. When I try to combine objects, they both disappear. I can normally even combine objects that aren't physically attached into a single "object" but it won't even let me combine the two half cylinders. Here's my operation so far:

create the primatives > match sizes > add center loop to elongated cube to match center vertex on half cylinder > remove unnecessary intersecting faces (the interior of the objects where faces don't need to be) > cleanup each mesh > delete history by type: all > Union

All objects disappear. I follow this same flow when trying combine as well. I can't even build this by merging vertices because they're separate objects still.

Cause the current version of boolean does not support planar faces.
An asset like this is easier crated if you cut a cylinder in half and bridge the faces.
