Not able to create faces in Quad Draw in Maya 2023.

I'm having trouble creating faces in Maya with Quad draw it creates the first and then wont create anymore properly.

Ive attached a video demonstrating the issue.

Is the live object clean, frozen, deleted history and not in a group?
