Hi Autodesk Support
Iv recently installed maya 2018 and have been re-acquainting myself with the modelling process. I started a new model the other day and during which I attempted to apply the merge vertices function to the model but was met with this error:
// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2018/scripts/others/performPolyMerge.mel line 335: Found no items to list the history for.
I am used to using this function to merge overlapping or hidden vertex's within the proximity of each other, a method which has proved useful in quickly cleaning up the objects mesh. This problem is not isolated to this one project or scene, I have found that this problem has occurred in all my other instances that I have open a fresh maya window, but that process is very tedious and time consuming. I have tried deleting the maya folder in the documents folder in hope that the reset would resolve the problem, but have found no fix. I would greatly appreciate it if you would be able to provide any possible solutions to this problem.
