my very first test with Maya 2025 and right the first object doesn't work! ๐

The bevel only affects some edges but not the main edges.

Its not clear to me which edges you want to bevel?
Thanks, but the sharp edges which you can see still sharp in my screenshot. There are the intersections but no rounding. So it did not bevel them.
I added the bevel in object mode (without selected edges) and expected an auto-selection. Did you it differently?
I tested all settings
Bevel works here on my Maya2025 on a cube but not on this shape.
Is it maybe something with the preferences taken from the previous version?

With new default preferences it's working... but also needs to check "Edges by Angle" in the Attribute Editor.
(Was off by default and is not visible in the channel box)

Great tool, but I still don't understand, why Autodesk didn't go one step further, to make it a procedural modifier.
Similar like you can toggle with key 1 and 3 the smoothing in order to work properly on a lowpoly.
It just has to update the vertex numbers when somesthing is changed at the topology and would allow a non-destructive workflow.
Still the new Maya bevel is way behind Max with its procedural modifier stack โ and the bevel could have been the start to catch up.
This was broken for me as well. I had to to change these option to fix it , Why would this be not the default?
