Maya 2018 and UVW Unwrap

Hi!
I have a very complicate model that I am trying to UVW map,

but always with an overlapping error!
I´ve tryied Automatic, Camera Base, Planar,... NOTHING works!
Any clue? Or do I really to split the model apart and Combine later?
I did that too but when Combined, there are ALWAYS overlapping!

Any clue?

Thanks for any help!

P.S.:

- 1st screenshot: Atutomatic UVWs

- 2nd Camera Based, selected all edges and cut/unfold/layout

I don't see any overlapping errors, also you left a colorful texture behind that is really distracting, don't do that next time for troubleshooting.

With Automatic and Layout UVs unfold 3d >Pack together (non overlapping) always work.

Also with models like this is and with UVs in general is good to think 10 steps ahead, when you know you're going to duplicate over and over the same pieces is better to UV them first or at least in your case delete half of the model if it is symmetrical, UV map , then duplicate mirror and a final Layout.

Hi!
On the screenshot, it is unreadbly the overlapping errors.

I solved this issue yesterday and here are my steps:
- set Camera-Based UVs and select Edges

- cut UVs and back to Object mode

- Unfold and under Modifiy/Layout/Options increase the UVs space and UV Tile to 0.2

Hope this helps others too!
