insert edge loop - getting bumps on these

Hi,

I inserted vertical edge loops in the object and got these bumps on these inserted edge loops at smooth preview.

What am I doing wrong and how can I solve it? I tried Mesh Display-Soften Edge, Sculpt-Relax and Smooth to no resolve. I checked if face and vertex normals and seemed ok.

Thank you for your help,

Sergio

Now you turned off edge  flow, but you should avoid in this case anyway, draw a profile curve and revolve or model the vase low poly and smooth..., these are vary basic process

Thank you @damaggio , having reset the edge loop tool as suggested, i can use edge flow again and bumps don't appear as vividly , though still a bit there, how can i avoid them?

I'm not using curve revolve for now because I am practising the other tools.

Thank you again for your help,

Sergio

I would start again now knowing how many subdivisions you want. placing manually almost worked but it will never be perfect by hand unless you use precise numbers for the edge loop function....yeah, a pain.

You could also delete 3 quarters of the model, fix and smooth how you want, then duplicate 3 parts, rotate combine and merge.

Many ways to do this.
