Import image?

hi sir/madam,

I am beginner in the Maya animation.I had question regarding importing image from downloads.I am not getting the side view of downloaded image.when i was importing image from downloads i am getting only the front view.can you please tell me how to get this.Thanks

Good day , 

I would suggest you go to (SIDE VIEW -->  VIEW ---> IMAGE PLANE --> IMPORT IMAGE) 

That way you can import your image on side view, 

*Alternative Way 

-Add an Polyplane

-Add the Image File to it 
- Rotate it side view
