I'm having an issue when I bridge meshes that I have combined. I get an error that the says that the Bridge tool won't work because I didnt Combine the meshes, but I'm pretty sure I did. I have gotten this error twice. Please help.
Try deleting the history on the object before you bridge.
Also if you have smooth preview on (hotkey 3) perhaps try bridge without the preview (hotkey 1)
you should also check that you have the same number of edges on both sides that are being bridged. The bridge tool only works if there are the same amount of edges (eg a loop of 5 edges being attached to another loop of 5 edges)
A couple other ideas:
Check to make sure the meshes are actually combined. Select the mesh, "Edit" > "Mesh" > "Combine". If its greyed out, then it is in fact fully combined.
B) Use the "Separate" tool to break the mesh apart and try recombining them in a different order. Edt/Mesh/Separate. (sorry if you already know this)
C) Check everything to catch any remaining geometry that was not combined properly. Select everything and use the Cleanup Tool. The Cleanup feature lets you remove unwanted geometry from a polygon mesh (for example, zero area faces or zero length edges). 🙂 🙂
D) have you tried using Merge Vertices tool? and manually correct the vertices between the meshes or the Bridge tool from the handy Modeling Toolkit?
Hopefully its one of those suggestions. Let me know how it works out for you! Cheers!
i am having the same issue , if you found any solution then please tell me ,
i can't figure it out
