adding/appending an image to an existing aiStandsarSurface

Hi guys,

New to this forum and need your help.

I have a simple aiStandardSurface material applied to my shampoo bottle. I have created the uvs for the label part but now I just want to append or add it to the current model without having to create a one material like a lambert or phong. How do I got about applying this new material/image??? (screen shot images attached)

Thanks in advanced.

It looks like you are ready to make your label in Photoshop, just apply to the shader once is done.

Looking good, come back if you get stuck in another step.

understood @damaggio , thank you so much for the help. I was able to put the shader on the model. One more questions, whats the best way to delete an attribute from the attribute tab? If I add a new material and decided that to get rid of it, how would I go about doing that?

Thanks for the help.

Any nodes can be deleted from the hypershade window.Edit>delete unused nodes.

Just keep in mind that deleting a shader from an object will turn it to green "No Shader"... that's never a good thing ,so first assign a new shader to an object then you can delete the old one.
