Wrong working units

Hi there,

Okay so basically, the problem is that my working units in my maya scenes are wrong, whether it's about centimeters, meters or anything else, every objects that I import, might it be maya primitives or other meshes, it's just not scaled according to these units, being in a huge scale though the scale attribute is about 1, which is pretty annoying.

I tried to reinstall Maya but it didn't change the problem, idk what I could do to solve this

If you bring models from other sources they could have different dimensions, this is natural, once you import them is essential to find their correct measurements in real world centimeters preferably and save it in you library of models.Primitive scale creation is set in the primitive options or on your shelf icons and they will remain set on every scene you work on.

Good morning I was reading this article, and I also have this problem.

when I click on primitive objects to create them on the scene it creates them of enormous dimensions and I can't find a solution to this problem.

To make it fit into the grid I have to scale from 1 to 0.01

Did you manage to solve it?

Hi,

Go into Windows > Settings / Preferences > Preferences > Preferences > Settings and change your linear unit to centimeter. (which is the default for Maya)

hello thanks for the reply, it's not a problem with that setting I've already tried it.

I can't reset the mesh creation if there's a setup I'll attach a photoMaya Problemi.pngMaya problemi dimensioni.png

Hello. Please check the primitive options Create > Polygon Primitives > Cube Optionbox
If there are numbers in Width, Height and Depth, set them to 1. Or do Edit > Reset Settings to initialize the options.2.png

Thank you all for your availability, problem solved, I don't know how the grid settings were changed, and it didn't align the objects.

Thanks again to everyoneGriglia.png
