UVShell - Shows joins in texture on model

Hi,, I was wondering if there is a way to get rid of the join that is created with the FUSE UV set. ie where the different UV shells meet. I cant seem to get rid of the line it creates on my characters when they have been imported into maya. see attached picture to see what i mean. many thanks
