UV Mapping multiple parts

Hi Everyone,

I was just wondering if it is ok, or a valid method of working, to auto map UVs on multiple parts. These being VERY basic parts.

I have a series of blocks, to make it easier to visualize think of them at a bunch of 2x4s, yes 2x4 studs. I have selected all of the parts and done an automatic mapping of the UVs, and it appears to have done the job, meaning mapped them all in one shot. However, once done I began to wonder if that might cause unexpected problems down the road.

So... is it cool to do this? In this manner...

Side note: Because they are different sizes (lengths, widths and heights), I don't believe I can transfer the attributes. correct?

Thank you in advance,

Jim
