UV Editor isn't changing texture display...

No matter what changes I make in the UV texture editor, the texture on my model doesn't change (with the colors I put on it until I finalized the UV map, it would be pretty obvious). But nothing happens. Move UVs, Rotate UVs, Scale UVs--does not change the texture on the model.

Am I missing something? This all used to work just fine. Is it a setting change? Is this something caused by brining a Maya2010 file into 2011?

check if ypu created a second uv set by accident. if not specific linked your texture will use the default uv map1. you can check in your uv editor window in "uv sets" if there is more than one and wich is the one you are working on. to not loose your already done work you can copy your uvs to the default map if you like.

Well, that does show a couple extra UV sets that came from somewhere. I was able to delete those.

However, the "map1" default UV set is a cylindar, and I cannot delete it.

Furthermore, I cannot figure out how to get Maya to ignore it, or otherwise switch to the UV set I had so nicely mapped out.

I'm closer, but need more information.

When I try to copy the uvs to the default map, I get an error message.

I found the correct place to copy the UV maps by accident. Nothing like a good GUI design.

thanks for your help. Now if I can just get my rig to behave properly...
