Texel Density question

Hi. Hope you're all having a nice day.

I've run into a problem with texel density. I'm still quite new to using it.

I have 2 objects. The same height in scene space, both UVed correctly (i think), both set to a texture size of 1024.

but when i click the "Get" button next to texel density, they give me different numbers. If i'm understanding it right, if all of those variables are the same, they should be giving me the same number, right?

Thank you in advance 🙂

That is correct.

But in your case not all variable are the same. the objects might have the same height top to bottom but if you would measure the edge length of the log_wall top to bottom it will be longer then one of the log_support´s. caused by the edges not being a straight line at the wall. so the walls surface area will be bigger as well. that means to reach the same texel density the log_support uv´s need to be scaled down a little bit. hit get with the wall selected > select log_support and hit set should do it.
