Symmetry not working?

It looks as if symmetry won't work with this aircraft fuselage. Can you help?

all kinds of symmetry work well here so you have to be a bit more specific!

Well... ObjectX symmetry is enabled and one vertex is selected, but the other isn't.

Works with a basic cube, though.

your object isn´t symmetric along the x axis so for sure that will not work. try Y instead.

Hi,

Your mesh is symmetrical in Y (not X) so try switching symmetry to Object Y.

My math teacher would have said that the fuselage is symmetrical along the X axis. But it's all a matter of convention, I guess, and the one that matters is the one used by Maya.

also sometime after applying a mirror tool the symetry that works is the world not the object.

it's not working in any object not in x y nor z , even i tried it in world too !!!
