Sculpting | Viewport 2.0 | Flat Shading | Black Faces

Hello Everyone.

Just a quick question (spent hours to find the existing answer with no luck).

1. New Scene

2. Viewport -> Shading -> Flat Shade All

3. Create e.g. Sphere

4. Sculpting -> select e.g. Smooth Tool

The object's surface turns black. If switch to mode "3" for smoothing or change viewport to Smooth Shade, the surface shows up back again, but in sharp mode "1" and flat shading it is black 🙂

The question is:

Is it an expected behaviour? And why is that? The face brightness indicates it's angle, I wish I could see it in the sculpting mode as well, that's why I'm asking.

Thank you!

Maybe Vertexcolors?

Mesh Display --> Color Set Editor --> Delete
