Hi, I'm a max user in max when we scale object and continuously press R we get a different kind of scaling options but in May,  I don't think so these options are available. I have created this hole and I want to increase it but my mesh is getting deformed. How can I  fix it?

Hi,

Hold down Ctrl and drag the X axis to scale in Y and Z only.

P.S. Looks like you turned off the plane handle display under Preferences > Display > Manipulators which is why you need to use the Ctrl shortcut.

thanks it worked...one more thing can you tell me that in max when we add connects and there is an option for distance and no of edges is it possible in Maya.

generally, what I do select edges, connect them and then I beveled them.

Or there is any script would you prefer.

Hi,

For inserting edges the most common tools are:

Mesh Tools > Insert Edge Loop

Mesh Tools > Offset Edge Loop

Mesh Tools > Connect

There are additional options for each tool that may be useful.

Also, please accept the solution to your original question to help others find the same answer more easily.

Thanks.

I think you could have done this by just scaling up the edges if vertex does it out of place
