Hey, this is a problem that I keep running in to. Possibly problem with viewport perspective/orthographic, or "Highlight backface" tool.
Lets say I want to make an hour glass- very simple. Just a cylinder that is scaled down in the middle to create the cinched effect.
Here is what I am doing:
1.Set 4 viewports (Top, persp, front, side)
2. Vertex mode
3. Select middle vertex loop
4. Scale inwards
Here is the problem:
- The only vertices that will scale inward are the ones on the side and persp viewports.
This results in an object that isnt uniformly scaled in the middle that looks awful.
How do I take my selected vertex loop and scale the whole thing equally?
Doing that in two steps just seems stupid.
I am moving to Maya from 3DSMAX, so this might just be a UI issue.
Thanks!
