This thing is really bugging me and i can't figure out what it is. The strange thing is that the problem occurs in some scenes and not in others so i believe it's a setting i have turned on.
the problem is that when i press shift and draw a selection while my cursor is on a face it immediately selects the face im on and moves it to the direction i was dragging my selection.
This also creates the problem that when im selecting random faces, vertexes or edges it sometimes moves it slightly and this just results in alot of problems when i don't notice it.
