Hi !

I'm trying to render out my model for my 3D animation class, my teacher wasn't sure what was going on so I hope  you can help me. But one of the shapes turn green or unsmoothed and some parts even missing from the final render. I don't know if something wrong. it's MAYA 2019.

Also, I tried to get Arnold renderer installed but I cannot import it into the Plug in Manager. Did I do something wrong there?

Here's some screenshots

You can't get smooth polygons in Maya Software render, and,, the green mesh is probably the way how hardware interprets it, and, as I see jacket is rendered as expected, then probably it signals that there are problems with materials, just re-assign the same jacket's material.

I can be that Arnold is already there, and no need to install. Windows>Settings/Preferences>Plug-in Manager>mtoa.mll - turn on Loaded and Auto load.

If you still can't get the Arnold, you can use Mesh>Smooth and increase the number to a sufficient visible smoothness.

Some times when a model looses the shader (default or created.) that will turn green on your viewport. Re connect the shader. I think in your case it is the default Lambart shader. If you see PINK color on some while rendering ... means Arnold does not recognize that shader

If you are not seeing Arnold  (MTOA) in your plug-in manager means you did not install Arnold properly. By default Arnold should install properly. By just following the default settings while installing should not have any problem to activate it in the plug-in manager.
