re-creating a face of an object after deletion

Hi everyone,

I am a newbie with maya so if I hope there will be an easy solution to this.Smiley Happy

I am having an issue where in I want to create a face to an open end of a square. For example if I have a 3x3 square and I have deleted a face from one side of the square which makes this portion appear hollow. How do I again create a face? I tried selecting edges and vertices and trying different options but none of them gave me a face. Example I gave here is to simplify one of a biological model I am trying to make (see attachment, where I want to create face by joining the edges highlighted in orange). For a square I can duplicate the face and place it but for my biological model it will not be applicable as there are plenty of rectangles of different sizes and are curved.

Thank you for all your help in advance.

Gaurav.

"Bridge" ought to do the trick.  The default settings for Bridge will give you five sections across that span - you should change the options to one.

Select one edge (or set of edges), select the corresponding edge (or set of edges) and click on "Edit Mesh -> Bridge"

Thanks a lot. You made my day. I was using bridge earlier but did not realize that in attributes I can change the number of lines that appeared.

Best,
Gaurav.
