Question about move + sew when mapping UVs

When mapping UVs and using the move + sew command, what determines which shell moves?

I can't figure out any rhythm or reason to it. I would prefer to have the shell that is within the jumbled mess (automatic mapping) move to the area I am working in, not the other way around.

Thank you,

Jim

Here's some screen captures, maybe they will help.

These two edges go together.

The order I select them in makes no difference. I get the same results whether I select the edges on the left object first, or the one on the right. No matter what, the one on the left move to the one on the right. I want it to be the other way around.

What am I doing wrong, am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I can adjust?

Thank you,

Jim

Hi!

You can't control this.

Just use the tool as often as you need to combine shells and then move the final shell where you want it to be.

Ya know, that actually doesn't surprise me...

Developers really should be end users too...

Thank you for the reply.
