Quad Draw issue!

Hello everyone. I am currently following a tutorial - specifically, this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z68TUMK4dY8&lc=Ugy6mdH33NQdbYWqHDJ4AaABAg.9PpRvCSvRDP9Ppg3mJncpL

I am at around the 20 minute mark, wherein I am using the make live and quad draw tool to create the eye sockets. The problem is, every time I shift click to "complete" a quad my reference image plane jumps forward, skewering the perspective. It is very hard to describe so I have created a small gif showing what is happening. Once this happens, I have to delete the quad for the perspective to return to normal. It's very strange!

Hello,

So maybe you can get away with just turning the Apha Gain down on the image plane.

Click the Camera you are using (persp, top, bottom, etc) in the Outliner.

Then in the Attribute Editor, goto the ImagePlaneShape1 tab, and this is where you will find Apha Gain and many other options to change the way image plane acts. (screen cap included below).

If adjusting the image plane is not an option, then maybe try messing with some QuadDraw options which you can find in the Modeling Toolkit, with QuadDraw selected scroll down and mess around with some of the Live Constraint Options (screen cap included below).

Good Luck!

Hi there -

I tried your solution and changed a few settings in the Quad Draw to no avail. I can't find anybody who knows a solution either so I am not sure what to do from this stage.

Thank you for the reply, though.

I have fixed it. Well, I found a solution from a few weeks ago that works. Looks like somebody else had an issue and it's actually a bug!
