Problem with renaming Shape node. It keeps adding "1" at the back

Hi, I am trying to rename the shape node of my mesh. But it keeps adding "1" at the back of the shape naming.

I have checked, there are no duplicate object with the same naming.

Any idea what is causing this, and how to solve this?

I have tried optimize scene, and export/import scene file. It doesn't work.

Hi!

There could be a node with the same name in the scene even if it does not show up in Outliner.

Some options: Delete history (first), then Optimize Scene Size, import into a new scene, ...

You can also try to select by Name in Input Box or by script to check if a node with this node name already exists.

Thanks. I found the hidden node with the same name, it's a deformer object. So I guess that's why.
