Problem with Multi-cut tool

Hi here! 
I got a problem with multi cut tool. Instead of cutting faces in the middle it adds some "face" with kinda reversed normals. When I reverse them, it doesn't solve the problem. Seems like it adds some face which I cannot even select.
Using Maya 2019.

Hi!

It seems you have faces on top of each other.

Please clean up your mesh before you continue modeling.

Without a scene-file it's impossible to say what exactly is the problem here.

Could't attach scene file for some reason. Yeah, I cleaned the face, just manually deleted the faces all around my shape. And it worked. But don't know how these faces could be created on top of each other. Seems it happens quite often when I am modelling smth, just some random faces appear duplicating each other.
