Problem in UV editor

I am a new guy t o maya ... working on my first project. I made a space ship but now in UV editor i am getting wrong results . Please help

 what you see at this point is the expected result after modeling and that´s where the fun of UV mapping starts;)

Also, as a quick follow up to what sebastian says, I'd recommend deleting history and freezing your transforms at some point. If you don't need the history, delete it!

Select your objects and go 'Edit->Delete By Type->History'.

 

EDIT: And for freeze transform select your objects and go 'Modify->Freeze Transformations'.

i did the freeze transformation and deleting the history but still no effect... this is the image of the tutorial i am following ... their ship is perfect 😞 

is there any error in my ship model ?

You still have to do what Sebastian says, UV map it. It will not look like The tutorials by it self. Either you've skipped some steps or they don't cover UV mapping in the tutorial.

Looking at the tutorial they should be covering this stuff in video 38, which is the file you have a screenshot of. I'd rewatch that.

i did automatic mapping and i got something better .. but now similar to the tutorials .... can we edit this ?

yes you can edit this. did you actually watch the video as @saitham suggested?
and again as he told you above: take care of your history and delete it from time to time if there are to many unused nodes.
