Pink Mesh after combine

My mesh has turned pink after a combine, the histroy had been deleted prior and assigning a new material doesnt help. Neither does unwrapping the UVs.

Does anyone know what is causing the issues and how to resolve this?

Thanks

Export as an obj and import back...see if it helps.

FBX and import into a new scene resolved the issue, would be interesting to know the initial cause though if anybody knows,

thanks for the help.

Yeah it's just a workaround , I really don't know the cause , it happened to me once but it was not at an angle that was visible in the render , sometimes objects loose shader and turn green , never seen pink before , I just started working on SP 4 , hopefully won't happen anytime soon .

I have had this happen to me recently when i imported an FBX model. I'm not sure if it is quite the same issue as the poster but my model went pink as though it was on a display layer but it had lost its display layer it was on. Assigning to a new display layer fixed it for me.
