Odd texture glitch after importing from illustrator and beveling

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to Maya and still learning, I've just tried bringing in a simple vector from Illustrator (saved as version 8 AI file) as curves, I then applied a bevel plus to each element. It looks fine on the viewport, but the moment I check out in the render its got crazy texture glitches. I've had issues in the past with SVGs and AI files not behaving themselves and am wondering if I am doing something wrong?

this problem is caused by the huge n-gons and the way they are tresselated at rendertime. to get rid of them just "mesh> triangulate" your geometry or use "mesh > cleanup" with " faces with more than 4 sides" option checked.

Perfect, thank you. Not sure how I would have known this without asking. Appreciate the help.
