My UVs are disappearing

Hi, me again.

I have two duplicate models, they are the exact same except for 2 things. One of the models is fully UV'd and textured, but it's skinning isn't done correctly. The other model is skinned correctly but doesn't have it's UVs set up. I have copied my UV map from the first model to the second using Mesh > Transfer Attributes and it worked perfectly. Now, I want to delete the first model (the one that isn't correctly skinned), but when I do that the UV's on the second model mess up. Any ideas on how to fix this? I've added some pictures of what I mean and my transfer attributes settings.

Thanks,

Louise

Hi!

Transfer Attributes becomes part of your history (Input).

Solution: Delete history

hi,

but if I delete my history, then all of my skinning comes undone, the rig is no longer attached to the model.

Hi

Use Non-Deformer History.

Please read the complete section about "Delete by Type" and "Delete All by Type" in Maya Online Help / Documentation.
