Modelling model based on deformed mesh and control rig

I am looking for help in one step of my modelling pipeline. I have my own model with rig and controls set (controls are used to manipulate blendshape values and joints movement). I have also second geometry model (mesh) with some deformation as well. Both meshes have the same topology.

My question is: Do you know some plugins/tools/software which will take base mesh with controls and by manipulating controls (set values of a specific set of controls) match this base mesh to deformed mesh?

I know it is complex problem and I still find new useful plugins to Maya every day but for now, I haven't seen anything which helps me. Maybe something with a similar effect is already used, for example, in retopology? I will be really grateful for any help or advice.

Let me see if I understand you correctly.  You have a rigged mesh.  And you have a second mesh with some deformers.  The only relationship between the 2 meshes is their topologies are identical.  And you want to be able to manipulate your rig in such a way as to end up with the second mesh.

Impossible.

You can get close.  But you will never match the first to the second without introducing a final blendshape.  Since the topologies match, you can make some rudimentary distance and orientation measurements to position the rig controls.  But your existing blendshapes will most probably not be what's required to match the second mesh.  If they do, then I'd say buy a plane ticket to Vegas and go directly to the roulette table.  🙂
