Maya Modeling Viewport Issue

Hello,

I am using Maya 2013 and I am modeling my first character based on a tutorial by digital tutors.

I am having an issue with my viewport however. The further away I move from my model in my scene the worse this issue gets. I am a fairly new maya user and would be very greatful to find a way to restore my viewport. I must have accidently changed a viewport setting.

I've attatched a screenshot to illustrate my problem.

Sorry, I should have given my specs earlier.

I have a ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB card (I have a late 2009 iMac).

Have you tried updating your video card drives, or any other Windows updates for that matter ?

- Near Clip Plane

- Far Clip Plane

FalconCrest, I'm kind of more inclined to buy a new computer due to the fact that mine is super old now.

I was able to move my project over to a new scene and the issue was gone. I think it may be a clipping issue as mspeer said but I don't know how I could have changed my near and far clipping settings by accident.

Could it potentially be a normal issue? I was working on another modeling project and I turned off double sided in my render stats for my object but I seem to have still had the same issue though.

I'm thinking that this is all pointing to a clipping issue because it gets worse if I move the camera backwards.

At any rate, definitely worth doing some research on.

Thanks 🙂
