Maya cut tool

Hi Guys, It's my first day on Maya and modeling it's an old dream. So, I'm training the cut tool, and I have a little problem. When I cut my polygon, I don't know how to fill the empty space. I take a print screen to ilustrate my problem. Please, help-me.

Are you just wanting to replace the polygon that's been removed?

You could select an edge on opposing sides and use the bridge tool.

I tried, but the bridge tool don't keep the original form of the polygon edge. In my case, a triangle. I sent another print.

I could do with the Fill Hole option, that was new to me. Thank you dude!
