Maya can't merge two vertices?

I can't believe there is no option to merge two vertices to "first" or "last" position.
I can merge only to center, but what if i wont? Even in free analogs it's done better...

All what im trying to do is merge two vertices to last selected vertex position.
Is it even possible in maya? Thanks

No...not directly with the merge tool.  As you've stated, it merges to the center of the selected vertices.  The only solution is to snap your first vertex to your second.   And then merge.  You could write yourself a script to do that.

Hi!

I guess you are just using the wrong tool. Use

Mesh Tools > Target Weld

this has the option you are searching for.

@mspeer yup, very cool tool! You just drag one vert/edge to the other and bingo!
