I've applied a lattice to a scanned .STL file. It looks great in Maya.
I send my data to Zbrush, and I can see 'ribs' on the mesh in the same grid as the lattice. These are really ugly and hard to get rid of.
I cannot see them in Maya.
I tried setting my mesh to hard edges, and I still can't see the ugly marks in maya.
I tried looking at the latticed data in a few other programs, and some will show the lattice marks, and some will not.
I believe the sculpting tools are in the same boat, the affected model can look great in maya but look horrible when the data is sent to another program.
I'd love for my model to look exactly like it does in maya when I open it in Zbrush.
