In view editor not displaying correctly maya 2018

Hello,

Recently after updating to windows 10 as well as upgrading my GPU, I have run into an issue with maya where the In View editor will appear as a thin line with no options displayed. When I try to resize the menu, it will automatically stretch across the entire screen and still not display any options. I can open the drop down menu from within the editor and click reset size, but nothing changes.

I have reset my preferences and even uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I am still having this issue. any help is appreciated

Thank you

Hi!

This looks like a GPU issue.

Check everything recommended for GPU problems here in the forum and

check hardware / driver compatibility.

My hardware seems to be supported. I'm using an RTX 2080, but the driver version is a little newer than what was tested by autodesk  417.22.0. All of my GPU Cache settings are set to automatic. Is there a specific setting that I need to edit? I dont know what the problem would be to begin looking in the form for a solution, because the In view editor is the only thing that seems to be affected

Thank you for the help

Hi!

"My hardware seems to be supported!"

- I can't see any RTX card like 2080 for Maya 2018 as certified or even tested!?

You tested different Render Engine settings in Preferences?

You tested different driver versions?

You tested MAYA_DISABLE_OPENCL=1 adding to Maya env?

...?

Ah. My mistake, I was looking at the 2019 version of maya. I was unaware that 2019 was released because it is unavailable to me as a student and the last post of supported hardware for maya 2018 was in August 2018, which is a month before the rtx cards were released. I'm going to go ahead and mark you're first post as the solution

I just found it odd that that's the only thing that's been affected

Thank you for your  energetic  assistance

I had been using it and it worked great for over a week, I switched views using the space bar and instead of going back from the single view  of the Perspective view to the quad view the quad view had in view port 1 TOP, position 2 the perspective view, in position 3 FRONT view, and in port 4 TOP view, there was no SIDE View and three buttons on the side left channel were missing the empty shells were there but not the buttons. I tried to go to uninstall and repair that did not work, thenI tried to re-install that did not work. Then I completely uninstalled it and did a fresh install and install completed and launched and the same problem as soon as it launched.
