Sorry, I am a new student and may be my ask could be very simple to answer. And my english is very poor. How to preserve materials when import one object? Thanks for any help.
If you import an other maya file the material does import with it. Same goes for fbx if the material is a simple one.
Sorry, it doesnt happens in my projects. The imported object comes all with Lambert 1. Allways. I tried to reinstall Maya, it doesnt works.
Are you importing obj files?

Yes. I'm importing obj files. I tried import fbx files, it works. But obj files not.
