How to smooth poly without adding more geometry

Hi,

I have made a model and smoothed it once. Then I changed the topology a bit by deleting some of the old geo and add new geo. Somehow the old geo and the new geo is not matching. The new geos are very hard and the old is smooth.

I deleted the history already so there's no way I can go back to change the smooth. I don't want to smooth it again because the poly count would be too high.

Also, a weird seam is generated automatically when I add the new geo. It cannot be sew together....

Is there any way I can match the old geo and the new geo with out going too crazy about my poly count? And is there a way to fix the seam on my model? I will be appreciated if someone know how to fix this!

The old polys are set to soft edges the new polys have probably hard edges. Try to select the model and "mesh display - soften edges"

Thanks! That fixes the problem!

And I simply delete the faces and bridge them together to fix the seam problem if anyone is checking this post in the future.
