How do you create objects at precise locations?

Hello everyone

I'd like to create a reasonably complex product design by creating new objects at precise locations on the faces of a main object. To that end I thought it would be necessary to use the snap tool, but the steps described in the post below didn't work:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/maya-modeling/create-object-at-location-of-3d-cursor/td-p/8102702

Snap Together Tool set the two objects side by side across an arbitrary distance and holding the V key did nothing (Sorry, the screenshot continuously  failed to upload).

Is there any other alternative in Maya that can work like the 3D Cursor of Blender?

Thanks for reading!!

You can find a script online that can improve the speed of this task, right now there's no simpler way as in Blender.

You can also request this feature in the Maya Ideas.

Am I right in thinking the steps involving the use of Locator as described in the link below is invalid for my purpose?:

Did you try it once using MASH? I think you can create geometry on faces.

Otherwise I can also recommend tyflow in 3dsMax, which is a full allround system, node-based, fast and easy.

truly and utterly absurd that Maya can't do something so basic as this and people pay the amount of money they pay for it. It completely essential.
