How could i fix these problems with my vertices and edges. The edges seem to arc into the vertices

Hey thanks for your response. I'm just a bit confused though. How would you fix that? I was told to "merge" the vertices as there are hidden ones or something underneath but there are nothing to merge with. How do i weld them? I selected vertices around them and tried to move them to see if there were any underlying vertices but it all moves like it should. When i am not in smooth mode it all looks fine and attached properly. The edges are straight, its only when in smooth mode.

Delete one face and create a new one is a way todo it.

Or cut the edge move the new vertex and weld again.
