help i cant use cv curve

help when ever i try to use cv curve on my object the curve goes behind it and wont display on the object i tried making it live and that helped but it made the curve into different shapes from what i wanted does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this

Hi!

What does this mean?

There are 2 main options to create a curve on a Polygon Object:

1. Create on Live Surface ( as you did ), and

2. Project Curve on Mesh

Please read the Maya Online Help / Documentation for more details.

hi thanks for the help but what i ment by "made the curve into different shapes" is that when i try to make a rainbow shaped curve in the side view it looks like a rainbow but when i switch to perspective view its very squiggly and different
