Gemetry text with Extrusion enabled and without extrusion enabled

Hi I could really use the held of Maya Experts here. I have a Text with extrusion enabled, and when I check the Deformable type, I get this result:

But when I disable or Uncheck the Enable Extrusion, I get this result:

is three a way that I can achieve the same edges or result for the text's Fore face even the Enable Extrusion is checked?

Disable Deformable type and set Extrude divisions to 1.
