I can kind of look at the wireframe view of the model in Maya but cant export that view. Does anybody know how to do this?

Thanks, I am new to the forum. I tried to remove it but had no luck.

Anyways, if you know of a solution regarding exporting, would be great to share it.

It looks like you are trying to render the wireframe - not 'export' it.
In that case - you can attach a renderable object to the wireframe - like a neon effect from PaintFX.

Thanks, I have a couple of questions though. As a non-expert in paint effects

1- would it give me the effect I need (I have already subdivided my model to the required level).

2 - If it does, how do I do it ( I am not an expert in paint effects). I have to apply the effect just to the mesh lines not the surfaces.

Thanks

Sorry but there isn't much information here to recommend a workflow.

No pictures of the model.

We don't know the Maya version nor the renderer used.

Hello,

I  use Maya 2024.1 for this work. I didnt use any materials.

I simply created a cube from the modelling section. Using sub division and beveling , I modified it and changed the wireframe colour. I then exported it. See image.

I know that this can be done in blender, but I dont want to use multiple tools to do it, so any help on how to do it in Maya is much appreciated.

What you need to do then is render the image with an Arnold wireframe shader.

Thanks. I checked options under Arnold and there are no wireframe shaders listed. Do I need to import a plugin for this or am I looking at the wrong place?
