edge flow bug ?

Hey.

Is there a reason why edit edge flow (0,8 setting as shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFfAtnnfCOw ) is inconsistent with multi-cut with edge flow at the same 0.8 setting ?

And why 0.8 and not 1 for perfect edge flow distribution ?

Thx

Hi!

I don't see a difference for Multi-Cut and Edge Flow.
Also the assumption that 0.8 leads to a round surface is not correct.

This is only true for the particular case at the end of the video. Test this with other values like 4 subdivisions or 60 subdivisions for the cylinder and you get other values.

1. A perfect edge flow does not mean it's circular (think about waves or a sinus curve)

2. There is only a limited amount of information available for extrapolation, so the result can't be perfect.

If you want clearly defined surfaces, please use Nurbs.
