Dear friends

I'm a preson that is in transition from 3ds Max to Maya.

I have a very simple question, because I got stucked with this. My question is:

Is there a tool in Maya that is similar to "Autogrid" in 3Ds Max?

I was trying to use the align tool but it is not so efficient and it is slower.
Please help me in solving this problem

Regards

Well "AutoGrid" tool is a tool that let's you to create object, new objects on the faces of the another existing object.
For example: If you have from the start a cube, by selecting the AutoGrid tool you can draw a new, let's say, cylinder where you wont on every 6 faces of the cube. The center of the new cylinder will be in that particular point where you've started to drag the new object and the new object will be perfectly aligned to that face you've started to drag.
If I was not very comprehensive I made a screen shot of how this looks like

Yes I already understood that 😉 yesterday I had founded this tool and I would say that it is preaty the same as AutoGrid in 3ds Max even more better, you can create from middle.
Anyway thanks.
